Guitar Scales Essentials is a free multimedia iPhone app developed by Tobias Nasterlack. This music and radio application offers a variety of features for guitar enthusiasts. Users can select from 6 different tunings including Standard, Drop C, Drop D, Open D, Open G, or Celtic.
The app allows you to visualize 15 essential scales in any key on a virtual fretboard or as tabs. Users can choose between standard and 3-notes-per-string position view options. Practice sessions are enhanced with built-in instrumental and percussion backing tracks, as well as a metronome. Guitarists can easily switch between full and pentatonic views in major and minor scales, display chords and notes in a scale, and enjoy light and dark mode appearances.
